As a Singapore notary public appointed under the Notaries Public Act 1959, our notary public verifies that signatures on a document were signed by the person referred to. We will verify the identities of each party signing the document and witness the signatures. Notaries also verify that copies of documents are true copies of the original document.
Under the Notaries Public Rules, all notarised documents must be accompanied by a notarial certificate and certificates must be authenticated by the Singapore Academy of Law. The authentication process accords assurance to the recipient that the notary public's signature has also been verified. Such authentication is carried out by the Singapore Academy of Law affixing an apostille.
The apostille issued by the Singapore Academy of Law serves to legalise the document in all countries which are parties to the Apostille Convention. No further legalisation will be required at the embassies of these countries.
Our notaries can advise on the most time and cost efficient way to handle your documents and will provide a notarial certification that meets your needs.

Note: A Singapore notary public is not permitted to undertake a notarial act without issuing a certificate which must be authenticated by the Singapore Academy of Law. To ensure a smooth process, please ensure you bring your original NRIC or Passport for identity verification. All documents must be fully prepared, but not signed until in the presence of the notary public.
